Presidential Address Reaction
On Tuesday, President Trump delivered his first presidential address to a joint session of Congress.

I was honored to be in attendance. President Trump's speech was well-received as he hit the right combination of outreach, optimism and hard-hitting realism.

President Trump laid out his agenda for the country, which includes repealing and replacing Obamacare, encouraging the Senate to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, revitalizing American industry and implementing comprehensive immigration reform.

As an added bonus for Wisconsinites, President Trump mentioned our own Harley Davidson as a successful American business.

Overall, the objectives President Trump mentioned in his speech are ones that will benefit all Americans. I hope that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle will work with congressional Republicans and this administration to help our country succeed.

Wisconsin in D.C.
Many great groups from Wisconsin were in D.C. this week. I was able to meet with quite a few of them, and I was impressed to hear what our state's organizations are accomplishing.

I sat down with Ron Kuta and Al Richards from Grafton on Tuesday to discuss the American Legion's legislative priorities.

On Wednesday, I met with the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association to discuss issues important to broadcasters.

On Thursday, I met with representatives from credit unions across the Sixth District and the entire state.

Yesterday, I was honored to be named a Congressional Member of the Civil Air Patrol by the Wisconsin Wing Civil Air Patrol.
